Kementerian Perdagangan terus berupaya memfasilitasi pelaku usaha Indonesia guna meningkatkan ekspor sarang burung walet Indonesia – China Bird Nest Enterprise And Farmer Exchange Conference.
Lebih dari 80 persen sarang burung walet (SBW) yang menjadi konsumer dari negara China.
Hal itu disampaikan oleh Ketua Umum Perkumpulan Petani Sarang Walet Nusantara (PPSWN), Daniel Thong saat penandatanganan nota kesepahaman PPSWN dengan CAWA di Ancol, Jakarta Utara (26/3/22).
Ia menilai negara Indonesia adalah satu pengusaha produk sarang burung walet yang terbesar di dunia.
“Petani sarang burung walet akan terus memproduksi lebih banyak dan peningkatan dari tahun sebelumnya,’ kata Daniel Thong, saat melakukan penandatangan kerjasama dengan asosiasi sarang Burung Walet dari China (CAWA).
Lanjutnya, walaupun belakangan sempat mengalami penurunan produksi sejak pandemi covid-19. “Semoga di 2023 hubungan kerjasama dengan China ini, kita semakin baik kedepannya,” kata Daniel.
Selain itu, Ketua Daniel juga berharap produksi SBW akan terus mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan. “Setidaknya kedepan, produksi Indonesia 90 persen akan mensupply sarang Burung Walet ke seluruh dunia,” pungkasnya.
Sehingga, kata Daniel dengan adanya penandatangan kerjasama (MoU) Indonesia – China angka kemajuan ekspor akan meningkat. “Kita akan terus menerus bertemu (pertemuan: red) demi kemajuan republik Indonesia ini terkait ekspor sarang burung walet ini,” tutupnya.
Di waktu yang sama, Ketua asosiasi Cawa, Mr Ma menyampaikan banyaknya konsumsi sarang burung walet akan membangkitkan gairah perekonomian petani dan pengusahanya.
“Dengan adanya kerjasama nota kesepahaman Indonesia dengan China maka sinergitas akan terus berjalan,” kata Ma.
Menurut Ma, kerjasama ini akan terus berkembang ke depan. “Selama ini pencucian sarang burung walet saja, tapi kerjasama marketnya (pemasaran : red) kedepan,” pungkas Ma lewat penerjemahnya.
Kebersamaan ceremoni Indonesia – China turut dihadiri oleh Dewan Pembina PPSW, Benny Hutapea, Kepala Pusat Karantina Hewan dan Hayati Kementerian Pertanian, Drh Wisnu Wasisa Putra.
