SEMARANG, Beritamerdekaonline.com – Seorang warga Tambakmulyo, Kota Semarang, Srikatun, menghampiri Wakil Gubernur Jawa Tengah, Taj Yasin Maimoen saat menghadiri penyerahan santunan kepada 10 ribu anak yatim oleh PT Sukun di Sasana Widya Praja Balai Diklat Srondol, Sabtu (01/04/2023). Dia meminta orang nomor dua di Jateng itu dapat memberikan kesempatan anaknya bersekolah di SMKN Jateng.
Ibu tiga anak ini mengaku tidak mampu membiayai sekolah anaknya yang bernama Wahyu Aji Pangestu. Selain itu, lanjutnya, kondisi rumahnya tidak mampu menampung seluruh anggota keluarga. Oleh karenanya, dia berharap agar anaknya dapat bersekolah di SMKN Jateng. Saat ini, Srikatun menitipkan anaknya di Panti Sosial Nurul Mursid, Tembalang, Semarang.
“Saya Srikatun, anak saya Wahyu Aji Pangestu. Karena saya tidak mampu membiayai (sekolah) anak saya, saya titipkan di panti sosial. Sekarang saya mau masukkan anak saya di situ (SMKN Jateng) karena di situ anak saya punya tempat tinggal. Kalau di rumah tempat tinggalnya tidak layak, karena rumahnya kecil sekali,” kata Srikatun meminta bantuan Wagub.
Mendengar permintaan Srikatun, Taj Yasin akan mencoba agar anaknya dapat bersekolah di SMKN Jateng. Ia akan segera berkoordinasi dengan dinas-dinas terkait. Namun, lanjutnya, prosedurnya harus tetap dijalankan mengikuti aturan yang sudah ditetapkan
“Mangkih saget mlebet teng SMK Pemprov, nanti dihubungi,” kata Taj Yasin, disambut ungkapan syukur Srikatun.
Wagub Taj Yasin menambahkan, semangat mencari ilmu harus dukungan. Apalagi, semangat tersebut dimiliki oleh anak-anak dari keluarga tidak mampu. Karena itulah, lanjutnya, pemerintah membangun sekolah kejuruan dengan asrama.
Dalam acara, wagub menyerahkan santunan kepada sejumlah anak yatim. Ia juga berpesan agar anak-anak yatim terus memiliki semangat menuntut ilmu agar dapat mewujudkan cita-cita.
“Belajarlah adik-adik. Kesempatan itu ada pada kita semua. Dan Nabi (Muhammad SAW) diutus bukan hanya sebagai utusan saja (rasulullah) akan tetapi juga menjadi inspirasi yang bisa diikuti dengan mudah,” tuturnya. (lim)
